Food ingredients banned in Illinois (2027)
Illinois bans 4 food additives that remain legal in the rest of the US, under Illinois Food Safety Act (HB 2562) — passed 2024. The ban takes effect January 2027. Manufacturers must reformulate products sold in Illinois or pull them from shelves.
