BannedPantry provides general informational content about food and product ingredients, including ingredient flags based on regulations from the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Australia and other jurisdictions. Nothing on BannedPantry is medical advice.Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical questions.
We work to keep our data accurate, but ingredient databases (including Open Food Facts) are crowd-sourced and may contain errors. Always read the actual product packaging before relying on any flag.
You agree not to abuse the Service: no automated bulk scraping, no attempts to bypass rate limits, no resale of the data, and no attempts to disrupt service availability.
Some safer-alternative product recommendations on BannedPantry may be affiliate links. We earn a small commission if you purchase. Our scores are never influenced by brands.
BannedPantry, the wordmark, and the logo are trademarks of the Operator. Ingredient data is drawn from regulator publications and public databases under their respective licenses.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for any decision you make based on Service content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50, and we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and the Operator agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be the state or federal courts located in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect (severability). These Terms are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service and supersede prior understandings. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
