Parent company: Conagra Brands

About Andy Capp's Hot Fries

Andy Capp's Hot Fries are baked corn and potato snack sticks produced by Conagra Brands, sold at grocery chains, dollar stores, and convenience stores across the US since the 1970s. They are a budget-priced hot flavored snack popular in discount retail channels. Andy Capp's also produces beer-flavored fries and cheddar varieties.

Common concerns with Andy Capp's Hot Fries products

Andy Capp's Hot Fries contain Red 40 for their red-orange color, along with Yellow 6, natural and artificial flavors, and TBHQ as a preservative. Red 40 and Yellow 6 are petroleum-derived dyes requiring warning labels in the EU and UK under the Southampton directive. TBHQ is banned in Japan. The high sodium content (over 200mg per serving for a small bag) is also notable.
