Simply Nature ingredients: what's banned overseas?

Parent company: ALDI Inc.

About Simply Nature

Simply Nature is ALDI's organic and natural private-label brand, covering packaged foods, snacks, and beverages that meet a defined clean-label standard. ALDI established ingredient standards in 2015 that removed 13 synthetic colors, MSG, and partially hydrogenated oils from all ALDI exclusive brands. Simply Nature products are either USDA Certified Organic or Non-GMO Project Verified.

Common concerns with Simply Nature products

Simply Nature is one of the cleaner private-label lines available in US mainstream grocery. ALDI's ingredient standards exclude all FD&C certified synthetic colors, MSG, and PHOs from this line. In 2026, ALDI announced expansion to remove 44 additional ingredients including artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners by December 2027. Some products still contain natural flavors or added sugars, but synthetic dye and BHA/BHT concerns are minimal.
